Offshore Windfarm Support
In addition to the construction of windfarms, The Port of Mostyn is quickly becoming recognised as the ideal location for Offshore Windfarm Support on the East Irish Sea.
Companies such as Vestas, who operate the service support base for the North Hoyle Windfarm from Mostyn, and Siemens who will shortly commence operation on the Rhyl Flats Windfarm have seen the benefits of using Mostyn as their base.
The introduction of this new business sector is attracting ancillary businesses to the Port, such as Diving and sub sea engineers, workboat providers, Steel Fabrication and engineering workshops.
The Port of Mostyn also has an experienced workforce on site for discharge and handling of components and onshore assembly work. Handling equipment includes:
- Forklift Trucks up to 28t
- Crane Hire
- Crane operators
- Forklift Truck Drivers
- Riggers
- Welders
- Mobile access platform operators
- Stevedoring
- Security
For more information on these services and charges, please contact the Port Manager, details available on the contacts page.
