BON VOYAGE

February 13th 2020 was a poignant day for the Port when we said a final “Bon Voyage” to the LDS Seaplane ship M.V. “Cuidad de Cadiz” as she sailed from Mostyn to Bordeaux having loaded the final set of Airbus A380 aircraft wings.

For the last 16 years the Port and the Dee River Craft -Afon Dyfrdwy- have provided the vital transport links between the Airbus factories at Broughton and Toulouse in France. The Broughton factory will now expand its production to the very popular A320 aircraft with the wings being taken for final assembly to Toulouse by the newly introduced Beluga XL aircraft.
